  • About the Author

Thomas Straker is a British chef, based in London. He started his journey as a chef after leaving school in 2008, but really it began long before that, growing in Herefordshire where his parents kept special breed sheep, and he prides himself on his deep knowledge of produce and good farming. Tom’s mother also owned a local pub where he gained his first exposure to commercial kitchens at the ripe old age of 12. He has worked in some of London’s top restaurants: The Dorchester, Dinner and Elystan Street to name a few. During lockdown, Tom started creating recipe videos on Instagram, his knowledge of how to create delicious recipes at home has now amassed a following of over 3m people worldwide. Tom recently opened his first restaurant STRAKER’S to critical acclaim and it has been cited as one of the most sought-after tables in London. This is his debut cookbook.
