About the Author
Sophia Handschuh grew up as a baker's daughter in Germany, and having been an obsessive home-baker throughout her life, had always secretly wanted to own a bakery. That moment came during the Covid lockdown when Sophia and her partner Jesse set up a micro bakery from their dining room as a way to support and connect with the community. With the help of a successful Kickstarter campaign they opened the doors to their very first high street bakery in London’s Crouch End in 2020. Since then they have opened further neighbourhood bakeries in around London, and are looking forward to joining further communities in future.
