Nokx Majozi learned to cook at an early age, inspired by watching her dad in their home kitchen in in Durban. She soon knew she wanted to make this her career, which wasn’t something many people in her family were familiar with. Breaking the mould, she fulfilled her dreams and spent three years studying before travelling to the US to cook South African food in Florida, eventually settling in London, where she’s been for nearly 20 years. Now, as Head Pie Maker at the acclaimed Holborn Dining Rooms, Nokx brings flavours of her home to pie-fanatics. Selected as one of Jay Rayner’s Rising Stars in 2022, she has appeared on Saturday with James Martin and featured in Sainsbury’s Magazine, The Caterer and Observer Food Monthly.
